# Softdocs Announces Spring 2026 Platform Release with Etrieve Document Signatures, Smarter Workflows, and Enhanced Search

 Columbia, SC, April 27 —

Softdocs, the leading provider of document management and process automation solutions for education and government, today announced the Spring release of the Etrieve platform. The updates include innovations designed to reduce manual work, improve process accuracy, and help teams get more done.

The centerpiece of the Spring release is Etrieve Document Signatures. Customers are currently able to apply signatures to e-forms for efficient approval processes. Now, they can apply fully compliant electronic signatures to ad hoc PDFs. With Etrieve Document Signatures, users can upload any PDF, drag and drop signature fields, and send documents for signing without creating a form.

This capability is ideal for contracts, vendor agreements, and other externally generated documents that require quick turnaround. Signed documents are automatically generated as tamper-evident PDFs with full audit logs, delivering a simple signer experience while maintaining the security and compliance institutions expect.

Etrieve Document Signatures are offered with unlimited licensing, with usage-based pricing negotiated at renewal, eliminating per-envelope fees. For organizations looking to consolidate sprawl and reduce multiple expensive point solutions, this crucial new feature places document signatures where they should be: within the document management system itself.

The Spring release also introduces smarter error handling within its import capabilities to ensure valid records are processed while flagging rows with errors, preventing import stops while adding data resiliency. In addition, Etrieve Content enhanced search by enabling users to save, manage, and reuse their most important searches to eliminate repetitive filtering.

> Institutions are being asked to do more with fewer resources. Our role is to make their systems work harder for them. These enhancements reflect our commitment to removing the burden of administrative tasks while giving teams the information they need at their fingertips to navigate important decisions.
>
> Adam Park, CEO Softdocs

Together, these enhancements reflect Softdocs’ continued focus on simplifying everyday administrative work while giving institutions more flexibility and control.

“Every feature in this release is rooted in customer feedback and real usage patterns,” said Scott Craig, Chief Strategy and Product Officer. “Our goal is to deliver improvements that feel immediately useful, fit naturally into existing workflows, and scale as organizations evolve.”

The Etrieve platform is delivered via a SaaS model, and all customers will receive these new capabilities automatically with no manual upgrades or downtime required.
