# Las Vegas Police Department Selects Softdocs for Secure Cloud-Based Process Automation

 Columbia, SC, April 17 —

Softdocs, the process automation platform for education and government, announced today the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has selected Softdocs through a competitive solicitation process to automate and modernize its electronic forms, workflow, and electronic signature solutions.

The LVMPD will deploy Softdocs across several areas of the department to provide modern, secure automation tools to current processes. As part of the deployment, the LVMPD will migrate from its legacy solution to Softdocs’ secure SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 compliant platform.

The LVMPD is a combined city and county law enforcement agency for the city of Las Vegas and for Clark County, Nevada. It is the largest law enforcement agency in the state of Nevada and one of the largest police agencies in the United States. In addition to serving the residents of Las Vegas, the LVMPD ensures the safety of tens of millions of people who visit the city each year.

Faced with staffing challenges, a growing focus on crime prevention, and evolving approaches to community policing, law enforcement agencies across the U.S. are adopting more advanced, flexible, and secure process automation technology to meet their most pressing needs.

A recent [Thomson Reuters report](https://www.thomsonreuters.com/en-us/posts/government/future-of-law-enforcement-technology/) on law enforcement agencies revealed that nearly half of those surveyed rank staffing concerns as their top challenge. The same report showed that keeping technology up to date is in the top three areas of concern. Softdocs is used in nearly a thousand [human resources departments](https://www.softdocs.com/state-local-government/) to streamline hiring, onboarding, and training.

“We are honored to support the mission of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department through eliminating technology barriers and helping the agency provide exceptional police services,” said Adam Park, Softdocs CEO. “Similar to what the [city of Topeka did last month](https://www.softdocs.com/news-press/city-of-topeka-selects-softdocs-for-cloud-based-document-management-and-process-automation/), LVMPD is modernizing their process automation technology and moving ever closer to their vision of making Las Vegas the safest community in America.”
