Softdocs, the leading provider of process automation and document management for education and government, announced today that the University of Hartford selected the Softdocs Platform to upgrade its forms infrastructure, digitize student services, and improve administrative processes across the institution.
With its legacy DMS solution approaching retirement, the University of Hartford sought a secure, scalable solution to maintain operational continuity and advance service delivery. The Softdocs Platform met these requirements with real-time integration to Ellucian Banner, access to a robust library of preconfigured forms, and a no-code interface that enables departments to manage and update workflows with minimal IT support.
“We were looking for an easy-to-use form-building tool that could handle complex workflows and integrate seamlessly with Ellucian Banner to replace our custom self-service pages,” said Mary Ellen Smith, Director of Application Services for the University of Hartford. “Softdocs checked all the boxes.”
The university will begin implementation of the Softdocs Platform in the Registrar’s Office, replacing unsupported processes with mobile-friendly eForms for high-demand requests such as change of major, minor declaration, and meal plan changes.
“This isn’t just a platform change. It’s a paradigm shift to campus-wide student success,” said Adam Park, CEO of Softdocs. “By eliminating outdated systems and adopting a centralized, modern platform, the University of Hartford is positioning itself for long-term agility and smarter resource management. We’re proud to support their journey and welcome them to the Softdocs community.”
The Softdocs Platform replaces inefficient and outdated systems with a fast, accessible, and intuitive tool for students to complete forms and access services, while giving staff the self-sufficiency to improve operations and reduce manual workload. IT and Registrar teams benefit from rapid deployment, reduced support needs, and efficient workflow management—backed by real-time SIS integration with Ellucian Banner and a robust library of ready-to-use forms.
While the initial rollout begins in the Registrar’s Office, the University of Hartford plans to expand the platform campuswide and lay the foundation for long-term transformation.
