# Softdocs Announces Fall 2024 Platform Release with Enhancements Designed to Help Organizations Scale Efficiently

 Columbia, SC, December 3 — 

Softdocs, the leading provider of document management and process automation for education and government, announced today the availability of the Fall 2024 release of the Softdocs platform.

The new version introduces a stack of key enhancements for customers looking to strengthen key processes with tools their staff have already embraced. Softdocs eForms, the no-code form designer that links effortlessly with workflow design, now supports bi-direction API-based sources for populating field options and prepopulating field values, enabling more accurate data capture, more intelligent workflow initialization, and continuous data synchronization with platforms [such as Ellucian Ethos](https://www.softdocs.com/integrations/).

The new release also introduces delegate management, a crucial organizational tool that activates localized admin control over workflow approval groups, document type management, custom properties filtering, and more. This delegated control empowers individual teams to maximize their use of Softdocs within the domain of their office, department, campus, or agency.

IT and departmental leaders will benefit from new workflow tools that further remove friction from approval chains. Admins can now move packages between workflow steps to instantly remove bottlenecks, as well as view packages directly from workflow monitoring to effortlessly understand the package’s contents and its tracking status.

The release also packs in dozens of new features – many suggested by our customer community – that will introduce further time- and cost-saving efficiencies. As the Softdocs platform is delivered via a SaaS model, all customers will experience the Fall release automatically without the need for manual upgrades or downtime.
