Christie Williams brings a strategic, people-first approach to support Softdocs in identifying, hiring, and growing first-class talent. Through strengthening total benefits and rewards, providing robust management training and support, and driving forward diversity and inclusion efforts, Williams looks forward to furthering Softdocs’ legacy as a best place to work.
Founded and headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina, Softdocs has been a trusted technology partner of educational institutions within the state and across the country for more than twenty years. The company is widely known for its cloud-based Etrieve solution, which provides institutions with electronic forms, workflow automation and document management functionality capable of integrating closely with deployed campus systems of record.
Softdocs recently received recognition as a Best Place to Work in South Carolina, for the fifth consecutive year, by SC Biz News in partnership with the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group. In her new role with Softdocs, Williams will build upon this success through ensuring the right programs, tools, and processes are in place to encourage authenticity, foster a sense of belonging, and enrich the experience for every Softdocs employee—whether based in Columbia or working remotely.
“With growth of over 50% this past year, we recognize the importance of continued investment in our people. Ensuring our internal team’s success furthers our ability to ensure success for the institutions leveraging Softdocs solutions,” said Adam Park, CEO at Softdocs. “Christie is a proven curator of inclusive communities in high-growth, high-impact organizations and we welcome the vision, experience, and passion she brings to our leadership team.”
Williams joins Softdocs with more than a decade of experience in managing people operations and development in roles across several sectors, including tech startups, entrepreneurial communities, and even wastewater treatment. She most recently served as People Operations Manager at Onna, where she defined onboarding processes and best practices, established the company’s compensation philosophy, and maintained competitive benefits for a global team.
“In addition to the impressive number of new hires to the Softdocs team, there are many employees who’ve been with the company 10, 15, even 20 years—validating Softdocs as a great place to work,” said Christie Williams, Vice President of Employee Success at Softdocs. “I am confident that, together, we can identify and develop the optimal processes to support our employees, enabling them to perform the best work of their careers.”
