Higher education institutions use artificial intelligence campus-wide to capture, recognize, and process high-value, high-volume documents in admissions, financial aid, registrar, business, and beyond. This allows the university to operate more efficiently and enables office staff to dedicate themselves to higher-value tasks. In this session co-presented by HEUG, we explore newly trained models for this form of AI, also known as intelligent document processing. We’ll discuss how documents are automatically recognized, data is extracted and then indexed into content storage and core applications, regardless of whether campuses use Peoplesoft, Workday, Ellucian, Anthology, Jenzabar, or any other ERP.

Attendees will learn:

  • How AI automates document capture, data extraction, indexing, and ERP integration
  • Security considerations for implementing AI technologies
  • Benefits for admissions, financial aid, registrar, business and other offices
  • How this form of AI enables greater staff efficiency and a better student experience.
