The University of Bridgeport Expands Softdocs Deployment to Power a More Efficient, Digital-First Campus

Softdocs, the leading provider of process automation and document management for education and government, announced today that the University of Bridgeport (UB), already a Serve customer, has expanded its investment in the Softdocs Platform.

UB will implement document management, workflow, and retention policy management to streamline operations, transition from Perceptive Content, and accelerate its digital transformation with a more integrated, future-ready solution.

This decision reflects UB’s continued commitment to innovation and cross-campus collaboration. By expanding its use of Softdocs, the university is advancing its student-centered mission with technology that delivers immediate value while building a foundation for long-term success.

"We chose Softdocs for its seamless integration capabilities with Ellucian Colleague, its robust SaaS offering, and the excellent support we’ve consistently experienced with their other products," said Chief Information Officer Sandeep Mannava.

The university will use Softdocs solutions to automate tasks, improve document management, and integrate with Ellucian Colleague. Implementation will begin in International Student Services, with plans to migrate historical content from Perceptive Content currently housed in Admissions, Student Financial Services, and International Student Services. These enhancements will help departments streamline processes, secure documents, and operate with greater agility.

“The University of Bridgeport continues to lead with vision and purpose,” said Adam Park, Softdocs CEO. “Their investment in the Softdocs Platform shows how institutions can drive transformation, improve efficiency, and create long-term value. We’re proud to support their journey and welcome them to the Softdocs community.”

This strategic initiative highlights a growing movement among New England institutions to adopt modern, cost-effective solutions that better support the evolving needs of students and staff.
