Softdocs, the leading provider of document management and process automation for education and government, announced today the availability of the Summer 2025 release of the Softdocs Platform.
The new redesign of the Central screen, which is “home” for almost every Etrieve Forms and Flow user, addresses more than 100 feature requests from customers while significantly improving the user experience to boost day-to-day productivity. Key changes include clearer inboxes to prioritize tasks, smarter forms management, more transparency of submission content, and a customizable workflow experience like custom confirmation pages.
In addition, Softdocs Collab opens entire new inter-team collaboration opportunities with real-time joint editing and version management. Hybrid workforces and distributed teams have clear line of sight to the correct version of any document and easy access to the archive of previous versions, reducing duplicate documents and data loss. Users can edit and track changes via a familiar, Word-like interface.
This update also includes new, cutting-edge security features like even more granular control over permissions around content. The platform’s IAM now tracks “impossible travel” scenarios to detect geographically separate login attempts from the same account.
“This release is all about worker productivity,” said Scott Craig, Chief Product and Strategy Officer. “We took every customer feature request to heart and developed a new version that would give users faster paths to success across common tasks. This, combined with native collaboration within the Softdocs Platform, keeps workers focused on creating and managing their organization’s information in a secure, collaborative environment.”
The Summer 2025 release also contains a litany of improvements across the platform, from merging documents at the point of capture to supporting diacritical marks for better international support.
